Meet Dr Veronica Cobo

International Legal Strategist

Founder of INTEGRUM LEGAL | Ecuador-qualified lawyer

Dr Verónica Cobo is an Ecuador-qualified lawyer based in the United Kingdom, with over 25 years of experience in legal practice, advisory work and international affairs.

Throughout her career, she has seen how the complexity of legal matters spanning national borders can leave people feeling uncertain or overwhelmed, unsure how to proceed or where to turn for help. This experience led her to establish INTEGRUM LEGAL, with the aim of providing a comprehensive, personalised service to people and organisations facing international legal and strategic challenges.

Her approach combines rigorous analysis of each situation with a careful assessment of the available options and each client’s particular needs.

People First. Always.

A deeply human, people-centred approach lies at the heart of Verónica’s work. She recognises that legal matters, relocation decisions, disputes and business challenges can have a significant impact on the lives and futures of those affected.

She therefore takes the time to listen carefully to each client and understand their individual circumstances, interests and concerns. This enables her to help clients identify the most appropriate legal and strategic options and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

International Legal and Strategic Experience

Dr Cobo has extensive experience working across civil law and common law systems. Her understanding of both traditions enables her to approach cross-border matters with an appreciation of the legal, institutional and practical differences that may affect how they are handled and the decisions clients need to make.

Her professional, academic and personal connections with Ecuador, the United Kingdom and Spain further strengthen her international perspective.
Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals, families, businesses and organisations in areas including international family law, immigration and international mobility, human rights and access to justice, international affairs and responsible business practices.

Her legal training, academic research and advisory experience enable her to assess each situation in context, identify key issues and evaluate the implications of the options available.

Human Rights, Access to Justice & Business Ethics

In Ecuador, Verónica has worked alongside people in prison, women, children, workers, and rural and local communities on issues relating to human rights, labour rights and environmental protection.

She has also participated in dialogue initiatives involving businesses, governments, workers and local communities, helping to bring different perspectives together, build mutual understanding and facilitate agreements that support responsible business practices. This experience reflects her commitment to promoting solutions that take account of both the interests of the parties involved and the rights of those affected.

During her time at the Consulate of Ecuador in London, she initiated and coordinated a pro bono legal clinic providing guidance and practical support to Latin American migrants and international families facing legal and personal difficulties.
